Blocking Your Blessings: A Positive Mindset

I know you’ve heard the saying, “blocking your blessings.” I’ve recently made the realization (yes very late… I know) that it all starts with a positive mind. You are thoughts and actions. I cannot stress enough how important your mindset is to what you attract.

I have been in situations that have caused me to lose hope and think that I was not worthy. I felt like things just kept going from bad to worse and that I was just bad luck. Little by little I started to do small things like dancing (which was a passion of mine) and it changed my mood. Next thing you know, I’m back to my happy, bubbly self.

Try to see the good in every situation no matter how hard it may be and you’ll start to see the blessings and opportunities not only pour in but overflow in your life.

For example, on my last birthday I told myself that I would try to have two vacations a year. I didn’t know how I would make it happen with my current salary. I had a few short conversations with my husband and family. Little did I know, I was speaking it into existence. A short 6 weeks later (I think… my memory be no good sometimes) I was given an opportunity to make a little extra cash. And that money I will use for my two (planned) vacations this year.  Even though money was going to be tight regardless, I still made the decision to take both trips. I have been learning more and more about self-care over the past two years. And I’ve realized how important a getaway can be and that it can make you feel like a brand new person.

Always having a positive mindset allows an overabundance of blessings. Things that you may not have even thought were possible are starting to happen. At times your mindset is the only plan you need. Things will just happen because you thought about the end goal, God will create the path, even if you don’t know how you’ll get there you just have to start. And it all starts with your mindset.
